The Railroaders Memorial Museum is happy to announce the installation of a webcam that is providing 24/7 streaming video from Horseshoe Curve. Until we get our relay server installed, the camera can only handle 20 simultaneous users. After the server is upgraded, the number will be unlimited. The camera does have infrared capability but with no real ambient light source at the Curve after dark, you can't see much until we have a chance to play with the landscape lighting. At approx 6:45 PM, the camera goes from color to black and white so it can enter infrared mode. It's getting dark here now so many of you will have to enjoy your first look at it tomorrow morning. Thanks |

Look towards the bottom of the main page. I have found that a direct link does not work. JKB |

Congrats to the ARRMM on the addition of the Horseshoe Web-cam. I was able to get to it via the Altoona website but was not able to get it to function. Hopefully this is just typical start up glitches and it will soon function as intended? What a great place for a webcam!! Ross Rowland |

As far as I know it is functioning as intended already. SOmetime you have to answer "yes" to a dialogue box that asks if you want toinstall the Axis network. Whether that happens or not is based on your particular browser settings. Also, as I mentioned in my earlier post, until we get our relay server installed, only 20 people at a time can be viewing it and there have been times where I have not been able to log in to change the view since there were indeed 20 people already on. The direct url will get you there as well - http://64.84.107.59 - Once you are there just save the page as one of your favorites. If you tryo to view it at night, you wil most likely get a black screen since although the camera is infrared, there is little or no ambient light at the Curve until we play with the landscape lighting.
