A reminder to those who knew the late Ed Blossom that a day-long memorial event will be held tomorrow from 9-4 at the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton. At 1 p.m. a program remembering Ed will begin, with friends and colleagues speaking about him and his accomplishments. A short slide show will be included. At 3 p.m., Red Arrow car #76 will run to Montage over the former Laurel Line interurban route. Included in the day's events will be three showings of a film of a trip on the Lehigh valley Transit narrated by Ed. There will also be displays of photos, letters and news articles about Ed's trolley restoration activities at Branford, Magee Transportation Museum, Dushore and Topton. Ed Blosom was a great friend to many in the trolley and museum field and was a leader in the early days of trolley preservation. |

I never had the pleasure of meeting Ed, but anyone who loved trolleys AND cats is OK by me. |

Hi, I will not be able to attend, though I wish I could. During my time in Scranton, Ed Blossom and Ed Miller were treasured acquaintances. This memorial is well deserved. Rob Davis |

Just in case there is any confusion caused by this post, Ed Miller is still alive, and attended the memorial. I wish I could say the same for the other 85 year olds I know. |
