From the Citrus Modeling Yahoo Group: Fullerton Railroad Days ( http://www.scrmf.org/ ) will take place May 7 & 8 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m) in Fullerton, Calif., at the Amtrak (Santa Fe) Station. This is a really big event and it is FREE, as is the parking and shuttles. I bring this to the group's attention because several modular layouts with citrus elements will be on display, including The Orange County Module Railroaders ( http://www.trainweb.org/ocmr/ ) and the Fullerton Model Railroad Historical Society (http://www.scrmf.org/frpa/fmrhs/ ). The Fullerton group is especially notable in that they have constructed an operating display (about 70% complete) which features the area around the Santa Fe station in Fullerton, circa 1950, including packing houses and other related facilities. Others module groups also will have displays. This is a really big event. Participants already confirmed for 2005 Railroad Exhibits: Restored Passenger Cars including: Santa Fe 4-8-4 #3751 Under Steam!! Until a few days ago, the SBRHS website said they were NOT going to the Fullerton RR Days. I just checked their site, and the schedule section has been completely removed. And the home page was just updated yesterday. Aabsent any information from them to the contrary I have to assume they can't make the numbers work. Shame. Also the http://www.scrmf.org/rrdays/ page does not list the 3751 (which it did at one time) so I also have to assume from that it is not coming. Greg |

I don't generally like to followup to my own posts, but it appears that the FRPA and SBRHS has come to some agreement. There is still no word on the SBRHS website, but FRPA's website is now announcing that 3751 IS coming to Railroad Days. |

Sadly the OFFICIAL word is that the 3751 will NOT NOT NOT be at Fullerton Railroad Days 2005. This is according to Bob Kittel "Robert" and William Ramsey "Wild Bill" posting to this Trainorders discussion thread. Bob Kittel is the president of the SBRHS - 3751 and William Ramsey is the official webmaster for SBRHS. This is now the official and cast-in-stone word from the "horses mouth" if you will. I really hope that everyone attending the Fullerton RR Days somehow gets this official word. I do hope that 3751 gets to Fullerton in May 2006. --- Daniel : http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/r ... ?10,915560 Date: May 2, 2005 09:17 Re: Fullerton Railroad Days Exibits and a surprise Author: Robert The 3751 is still not confirmed. Also, people who have requested to be emailed when the SBRHS website is updated with official information have been notified about 10 days ago the trip was a no-go. I would suggest you email the webmaster of the FRPA site to see why they have left incorrect information on their site for a couple of days.
