Silverton Northern enginehouse, still standing at Silverton, Colorado. SN was abandoned about 1942 and its three 2-8-0s went to Alaska for use by the Army; they were scrapped after WWII.

Stupid question, but any idea what the equipment is sitting to the right of the enginehouse in the photo --- looks like a wooden boxcar body possibly?

Who owns the engine house? Any chance it could be saved and connected with the D&S? Might be a nice place to display some information if not equipment from the Silverton Roads.

The body is ex-D&RG RPO, Silverton Northern RPO 150 if I remember right. The historical group that owns the engine house owns it and almost every existing peice of Silverton Northern equipemnt (RPo, caboose in Durango, and 3 boxcars IIRC)
