Post subject:  Moving an enginehouse

Moving the White Pass & Yukon enginehouse at Whitehorse, Yukon. I think it is now used for the narrow gauge trolley there. It was built during WWII to replace another one that burned, taking several former US mainland narrow gauge locomotives with it.

That is correct. It is now part of the MacBride Museum and will house WP&YR related displays as well as the Whitehorse trolley [ex Lisbon trolley]

The original enginehouse built in 1901 burned on December 25, 1943.

not quite 'several'
ex ET&WNC loks 10 & 14 were used as Whitehorse switching engines and were severely damaged by the fire. Pictures and info at:
