To all friends of the Rock Island:



Just a reminder that the first meeting of the "Friends of the Rock Island" is only a week away. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th. Don Davis, who began his employment with the Rock Island in the mid 1940s, will present his slides of Chicago area and share his memories and stories.



You might remember that in late January, 2005 a group of Chicago area Rock Island modelers, fans, and former employees gathered restart a local Rock Island interest group. The men assembled agreed to form a loose association named “Friends of the Rock Islandâ€
