I have recently visited The East Broad Top Railroad (EBT).I was at their Fall Spectacular. It was great!I saw EBT mikodos (mikes) #12,#14,#15,#17 all in operation, and #16 was on display!#18 was in the round house. The M-1 doodle bug ran to special trips. They ran the picnic, standard, and night trains. There were two night trips. There were excellent photo opportunities!I even had the chance to have a nice conversation with owner Nick Kovolchick Jr..He says he is thinking about bringing freight operations back to Mount Union,Pa.He says they would store the locomotive in the shed with steam engine #3. Maybe it means some of the stockpile of rail & ties in Indiana is earmarked for a rebuild of the line. Especially if they need to relay part of it as dual gauge. I kinda wish they were running on Memorial day weekend, Its one of the few I got free. Catfish Hollow Toys |
