From the Berkshire Hills Route list: On Friday, May 13 at 7:00 pm, the West Stockbridge Friends of the Library will host a presentation on the Railroads of West Stockbridge. This will be at the former village school on Route 102, just north of the town center. Jack Trowill, Curator of the Berkshire Scenic Railroad will give an illustrated presentatio and there will be various old photographs, maps, and other railroad memorabilia of the local area on display. In addition, former railroad employees and customers from the area will be honored guests and share their stories and memories as part of the evening. Doors will open at 6:30 and there will be refreshments afterward. Everyone is invited and there will be a suggested donation to support the library. |
