Post subject:  SLO event

From the Park Trains list and Ed Kelley:

The private Pacific Coast Railroad at the Santa Margarita Ranch this
weekend played host to an impressive event to benefit the construction
of the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum. The railroad is home to the
Vulcan used in the TV show "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman", as well as the
Crown-rebuilt Porter 0-6-2T-turned 2-6-2 "Melodia". Both were in
steam pulling three former Santa Fe & Disneyland RR "Retlaw One"
coaches on the relatively new 2-mile railroad just north of San Luis
Obispo on Cuesta Grade.

I've also posted some photos of my own from a March visit to the Ranch
on "On Track" (http://ontrack.bjwrr.com) with the Bill Norred
Collection article. http://www.bjwrr.com/ontrack/norred.htm

The event was made possible by owner Rob Rossi, CMO Phil Reader
(ex-Georgetown Loop/Roaring Camp/BJWRR), Brad LaRose (SLORRM
President/PCRy General Manager), and other SLORRM volunteers. Good
work, guys!

I should have added in the earlier post and add..."and all other parties involved!"

Sure wish I could've been there!

Expect coverage of the event in the 'On Track' Summer Issue, perhaps more. I hope to get this issue out for the first week of June. There's a lot of 'stuff' in this one.
