Post subject: | FRA Video on Steam Loco Operation & Maintenance |
Does anyone know how one might obtain a copy of the Federal Railroad Administration video produced in the late 1990's that details proper steam locomotive operation and maintenance? It was produced in the wake of the Gettysburg accident as a way of disseminating professional information to the steam heritage industry. Obviously the most logical contact is the FRA, of course, but which office does one contact? And what is the price? I understand Valley Railroad 2-8-0 No. 40 is the featured engine on the tape. I am trying to obtain a copy for the Railroad Museum of PA library collection. Any help would be appreciated; thanking you in advance! You might try: The Railway Educational Bureau 1809 Capitol Ave. Omaha, NE 68102 They are part of Simmons-Boardman Publishing, who is the main source for FRA regulatory material, safety posters, home-study classes, etc. I'm sorry I can't find a phone number handy. thewises@apex.net |
