I was reported on a website dedicated to Metro North FL9's that Metro North 2033, nee New Haven 2059 the last F unit built by EMD is out of service. Are there anyone working towards the preservation of this engine? What condition is it in? Are there anyone working > towards the preservation of this engine? The short answer is "yes". It was originally promised to a New Haven-oriented group in Oct. 1984, and that group is about to receive it. Be patient, we have been (for 16 years!!). > What condition is it in? It was taken out of service in Nov. 1995, and stored. It has since taken a few years to get it "broken loose".
