Hi All, What ever happened to the Brill-Mack Railbus that the Buffalo Creek & Gauley RR owned? They bought it from the Artemus-Jellico RR in Kentucky in 1941. Dad thinks it might be in California. Thanks, Stuart Frisco 1506 gnufe@apex.net |

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe that's the one that is now at Strasburg RR. That one was purchased by a group of rail buffs in Lewisburg, Pa. around 1965 (the Mack at Strasburg was definitely the ex-Lewisburg, Milton & Watsontown bus, the only question is whether it was repatriated from the BC&G, which I think it was), then purchased by Strasburg sometime around 1970 as a display piece. There was a write-up on that bus on the Strasburg in Trains Magazine in the mid-1970s. At the moment, the Mack is literally rotting outside the enginehouse at Strasburg. The RR Museum of Pennsylvania, or the Friends of the RR Museum, have reportedly been struggling to acquire the bus from Strasburg for years (it's a Brill product, which the museum has none of, and it's a Mack product, also native to Pennsylvania), but Strasburg RR has supposedly been demanding either a king's ransom or a so-far-impossible trade.
