The Mt.Vernon Ohio newspaper reported last week that Kokosing Rails to Trails group has acquired the ex Terminal Rwy Alabama State Docks 0-6-0 #63 ALCO 1940 from the Blue Grass RR Museum for display near there, along the trail. They currently have on display a exB&O wooden caboose. They have a fundraising drive now for the trucking & cosmetic restoration costs. Hopes are to have it trucked this summer sometime. I know they have done a good job on the caboose, hope the same will go for the locomotive. sposato@digitalexp.com |

Just > curious. > Stuart These guys looked at one of our Sterling 0-8-0's, but (probably wisely) decided to go with something smaller. I wish them luck. In the meantime, our used locomotive lot is still open, with a pair of GTW 0-8-0's ready for a good home. Only driven by a little old lady engineer on Sundays... Kevinmccabe@avenew.com |
