| Post subject: | Howfor A Lasting Brass Polish Shite |
We have, a while ago, polished up some brass for display but obviously it tarnished quickly with age. Then we did so again and spray painted it with a clear top coat and again in time it dulled, yellowed and tarnished. So, the question. What do the top ranked museums without a host of docents to wander around endlessly with dusting rags to keep things shinny do to keep things shinny? What's the best longest lasting least visible polish preserving non yellowing shine enhancing preserving top coating for brass on display and not readily or even ever accessible for ongoing constant daily touchup with feather dusters and brasso? Make that Brass polish SHINE. Should of use that spell checker but I was to smart. |

As it states, avoid any polish with ammonia in it, many of the commercial brass polishes do have ammonia.
