The Reading Crusader was very sleek looking stainless steel train that operated from Philidelphia Terminal. The G-1 stainless steel locomotive was scrapped along with the three middle cars of the passenger set.But the two end cars were saved!I know that one of the cars is at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. But where is the other car located?Does anyone have any information or photos on it. The last I knew, it was with "The Spirit of Washington" dinner train. I think it was based around the Yakima area. I don't know if it is still there, or if this operation is still in buisness. smokebox1@home.com |

Although they are in Redmond now. The following is from their web site. Originally built in 1937 by the Budd Company for the Reading Railroad, the Olympic car was used on the famous "Crusader" train until 1964. Purchased in 1988 by WCRC from the Canadian National.
