I noticed on a rails-to-trails related site selling ultra-expensive bike tours, that a tour of the Katy Trail across Missouri (MKT) was to stop for supper in Boonville, MO at the Katy Roundhouse" restaurant. Does anyone know if this was indeed a real RR roundhouse?

Seems to be the depot in New Franklin MO. See the web site.

Perhaps they don't know the difference. I noted on the trail website for the ex-Burlington Route to the Black Hills that a roundhouse is "a special piece of track used to turn trains around 180 degrees".
