Is it true that the group from Temple, TX from the Brief on March 28, 2001 plans to move the MKT "Katy" station to the Santa Fe station? If anyone has information on this I would appreciate it. rbd@mail.utexas.edu |

I was in Temple about a year ago and spent the time with Mary Irvine looking at their library collection and the renovation work on the Santa Fe Station/Office. She told of no plans to move the Katy station. The station is brick with high ceiling and a clock type tower -- I doubt that it will be moved. The M-K-T station is in an area close to downtown, but not the best part of town. Brian Norden bnorden@gateway.net |
