The good news is the RyPN site receives so many visitors now that it has exceeded its allotted bandwidth. The bad news is that means I have to get a bigger account and move the site to a new server. Before I negotiated the new account with my hosting provider, they said they'd take RyPN offline tomorrow if I hadn't rectified the situation with the bandwidth. Well, I did my part, and purchased a larger account, but they haven't yet sent me the information I need (was supposed to get it early today) to make the change. So, if RyPN goes down tomorrow (today) it will only be a temporary thing. If I succeed in getting the site information and heading off the shut down, there still may be some technical difficulties arising from the transferral process and my basic inability to do anything right. So, hopefully this will all go smoothly, but if it doesn't, I apologize in advance for any inconvenience the possible disruptions may cause. Railway Preservation News ![]() hkading@rypn.org |
