Post subject: | Another wood EJ&E caboose out west! |
Recently I asked about a former EJ&E wooden cupola caboose and Kyle Williams Wyatt, the Curator or Railroad Operations at the California State Railroad Museum gave me info about the car (Sierra Railroad #7) and advised that it is now at Jamestown, California, privately owned and on loan to CSRM at Railtown 1897 SHP. I want to thank Kyle for the information. Kyle has also told me of ANOTHER EJ&E wooden cupola caboose that was sold by the J in 1948 to the Magma Arizona Railroad where it was numbered 101. He tells me that the caboose was in service through the 1960's. And so some additional questions: 1. Does anyone know if THIS caboose still exists? 2. If so, where is it located today? 3. What was the original EJ&E number? Again, any help that anyone can furnish would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! midlandblb@cs.com |
