If this is real, it sounds like fun.

We Need You at the Golden Spike !
The National Park Service is currently recruiting volunteers who are willing to come out to the park and volunteer two months of their time working and operating our two full scale locomotives. The Jupiter and 119 engines are live steam powered engines that we use to teach people about the building of the transcontinental railroad. We have an exciting volunteer program and have found that live steam enthusiast make the best volunteers because of their working knowledge.

That message came from New Zealand!

The Golden Spike site has a volunteer recruitment page at: http://www.nps.gov/gosp/vip/loco.html
or email to gosp_interpretation@nps.gov,
or in a more old fashioned way:
"If you have a skill that you are willing to share please contact the park's Volunteer Coordinator by calling (435) 471-2209, or by writing to:

I realised that, The message was posted on a steam oriented mailing list, which I get in digest form. I was unsure whether the gent was posting from a notice that he had received or not, an figured you boys would know.
