Hi,

On May 31, the Southeastern Railway Museum, Duluth, Georgia, will begin opening on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The hours on Saturdays will continue to be 9-5; and, we will still be opening from noon to 5 on the third Sunday of the month.

Current projects include the cosmetic restoration of GA Pwr trackless trolley 1732 and General American Pfaudler milk car 1015. Work continues on the interior restoration of the premier class Pullman Sleeper/Lounge "Washington Club" and on returning NYO&W #104 to its original livery after wearing a Hartwell Railroad #5 suit of clothes for many years.

Georgia Power #97 (Porter) will run next on May 19th and thereafter on the third Saturday of each month through November. The exhibits hall has recently added an HO layout which was donated by the Crawford Long Museum and, by the end of June, should have a new railroad workers exhibit in place.

When you in the area, stop by and say "hi" and then pick up a wrench or a paint brush.

Great news Malcolm. I will bring my summer interns down for a field trip.
