| Post subject: | Erie Lackawanna Dining Cars |
A new organization has been set up called the Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society. It is affiliated with three existing northeast historical societies to own, restore and operate an ex-EL (nee Erie) dining car. I would like to hear from anyone who has any photos or any documents (recipes, orders, manuals, etc.) on either the Erie, DL&W or EL diing car operations. Thanks, Tim njmidland@compuserve.com |

Do you happen to know that there also exists an ex-DL&W Phoebe Snow dining car? Lousy exterior condition, great interior (or so I'm told)....... The ex-DL&W car is supposedly well-known in some preservation circles; the current owner (who has been known to lurk on this board) would like to see it preserved but really cannot afford to give it away.
