Has anyone heard anything about the Reader Railroad? I'm just curious. Their engines are around and I know they used to run a tourist operation, but what has been going on lately? Thanks, Stuart gnufe@apex.net |

It's been defunct for at least 10 years now. |

Reader #4 (former W. T. Carter & Bro. #4), a 2-6-2, was sold off to the Mt. Dora Scenic Railway in Florida where she is now operating. See the link below. http://http://www.doradoodlebug.com/ gbrewer@yahoo.com |

Anyone have some photos of how the Reader site looks today? I think readers would find them interesting. bobyar2001@yahoo.com |

Reader RR did not sell anything t o Mount Dora scenic, contrary to what some of Florida Foamers may believe. The Number 4 is only leased, for a short period of time I might add, and still under the propriertorship of Reader Railroad. AS for the rest of the equipment, they are all in the midst of the manditory FRA work lorija799@aol.com |

I included the link below, it is at http://www.pernet.net/~james1/reader/. At that time, #4 had just returned from a film shoot, and had not yet gone north to work briefly on a shortline railroad before going to Florida. Reader Railroad james1@pernet.net |
