I saw on railpictures.net the a Georgia Railroad GP7 or 9 is being prepped for a re-paint at Tennessee Valley Railroad's Shop.I don't remember the details but think this loco is bound for the Southeastern Railway Museum at Duluth,GA.Is TVRM getting something in exchange? |

1026 was purchased from TVRM by the Southeastern Railway Museum. The purchase was funded entirely by donations from our membership. TVRM is painting the locomotive as a separate contract job. |

The proceeds from the sale of the Georgia Railroad 1026 were used to purchase Amtrak 772 which was built as NC&StL 710 and has been restored to its original NC colors. Both TVRM and SRM will have "home" territory diesels (and not Southern locomotives either) when the 1026 arrives at Duluth!G. Mark |
