I caught the end of a story on WBIR TV10 news about a movie shoot in downtown Knoxville,Tennessee. It looked to be at the ex-Southern Railway freight depot(I think) which is accross the tracks from the more famous Southern passenger station built in 1903.There were actors in Victorian era clothes, hay and crates on the depot loading docks and studio supplied white smoke swirling in the air as if from a steam locomotive.I am strictly guessing as to this building being an actual freight depot but it looks the part, does anyone know it's true history?I wonder if the freight depot could be the ex-ETV&G station that was replaced by the 1903 station? On my visits to the area in the past I never paid the lowly freight building much attention but remember it as ran down with bricked up windows.
