The danforth 4-4-0 of the Bache Brothers lumber company, formally in the drink and was pulled out in the 1970s, was on display at the State Ag Offices in Tallahasse, FL but has since vanished. This 4-4-0 has always interested me (being one of only 3 Danforths and one of only about 10 or so steam engines that were around during the Civil War), I am somewhat surprised a museum with proper resources to restore the engine has not picked it up |

I also noticed it gone about 3 years ago. One hopes they moved it INSIDE at the large state museum in Tallahassee, which was closed when I went through town. |
