A June dive n a Pennsylvania quarry was supposed to determine the presence (or not) of a long drowned PRR B8. Can anyone who is involved with this proposed event relate back to us, is it going to take place or has the purported B8 become inaccessible? |

Richard,I have just been very, very busy with a brand new job as an RN after graduating from college. So far the scheduling has not allowed me to get away for a few days, but I am looking possibly at the next 1-3 weeks. But since I have been so busy, I have neglected to get back to the park officials with insurance issues, but I have worked it out with my professional coverage company to provide the insurance required by the park. I just need to get the paperwork over to them. Also the dive shop I work for part time has been overrun with business in the heat of the new season and in the spare few minutes between two jobs I keep busy volunteering at the OHCR, so please be patient for the next couple of weeks. Please also understand that I am making the nine hour drive and volunteering my time and efforts mainly to help provide you guys information you may not have had access to, so let's all take it easy on this topic and not turn this into crap slinging contest it has been. Thank you.Ryan Parkevich |

Ryan, good luck with the new job and congratulations on your RN. No, I am not criticizing in any way, in fact, I am very much interested in your dive as a means to verify or negate the existence of said locomotive. When you do schedule the dive, I would be willing to drive down from Maine to assist, if that helps at all. I believe there are probably locomotives in the quarry, but as to their heritage - ah, that's where you come in!I agree, there should be less negativity about this topic. Until we get explicit answers, everyone should be above board. Richard Glueck |
