Looking at the map it appears a border crossing would simply be by-passing Union Pacific's line to Nogales a few miles to the west. UP owns 26% of Ferromex (maybe more by now). No wonder this didn't work out.The SPROC's only U.S. connection is UP. I can't see why anyone thought this was a promising deal.Mike |
