Interesting, That picture is well before my time in Boston. From the look of the wire (double) I would imagine that it is either near a car house or the Harvard Square Tunnel which was set up to handle both trolley and trolleybus.M.E. Allen

I would say Waverley Square because of the picture caption and the destination sign, and also because of the Waverley News and Waverley Insurance signs on the buildings. I have been a customer of Waverley Insurance since 1965. Their present office is at a slightly different spot, but still in Waverley Square.The other end of the line is indeed the multi-mode Harvard Square Tunnel, as suggested in the previous post.-John
