Looking for a distributor jet casting. Has anyone had a new one cast or know of a pattern that has survived? The K4s jet plate has seen much better days. Ours is of the 2 piece variety, i.e. the actual jet casting and the jet support casting. Thanks for any leads.Mike Tillger

Mike,We were faced with the same dilema with 611/1218, castings were certainly not inexpensive as you can imagine, and we found/swapped out a jet block. We had N&W drawings for the HT jet block, purchased from Mark Faville in Roanoke. I believe Mr Faville past away years ago??, so I do not know where the N&W drawings went. It has been speculated the VTM has aquired the collection, so I would start there. P.S. I'm sending Chris other stoker drawings this AM.Bob

The N&W Historical Society has the Faville drawings. Contact them at info@nwhs.org . To my knowledge, VMT is not actively engaging in archival preservation at this time and their materials are in storage. They seem to be changing their focus to highways and automobiles.

Mike,You could try Multipower International, the folks that import Chinese steam locomotives and parts. They have a page for "HT-1 type" stokers and parts. They also say they can provide custom parts to order; they may be able to provide a workable replacement.http://www.multipowerinternational.com/stoker.html
