Believe that that the photo caption is incorrect. The name of the program was"More Power to America." The train contained displays of all of GE's wares-ranging from industrial equipment to consumer items. I am not sure who the intended audience was.By way of a former GE employee, I was told that the train was not intended for the general public. Perhaps someone else can confirm/deny. The same employee told me that the locomotives were painted "arrest me red" to garner attention, as they were amongst a small number offull-sized (Alco) GE products on display.If nothing else, it appears that GE was aware of GM's marketing efforts and was reacting accordingly.
