Dear friends--at the moment the Interchange has two moderators, myself and our good colleague Randy Hees. I find that between a change in my job at work, family responsibilities, and other committments, I can't currently keep up with the Interchange and am looking to take a step back. Accordingly, we'd like to invite volunteers to help RyPN by becoming an Interchange moderator.In one sense the job is not onerous at all--it just requires reading all the threads and responding to the occasional back-channel inquiry. However, we are looking for people who embrace the spirit of the Interchange Guidelines, and would be interested in helping to maintain the courteous, mutually respectful tone we try to uphold here. Every few months this requires mediating in situations where passions run a little high, where there is no obvious right and wrong, and where there is the potential for hurt feelings. It can take a combination of a thick skin but a gentle hand.If you are a regular Interchange reader and would like to help this forum thrive and grow by becoming a moderator, please PM me or Randy and tell us a little about yourself.
