Is there anything new with the New Hope and Ivyland? Is there work being done on any of the locomotives other than #40?Haven't heard anything in a while.-Alan Levy |

I would love to see them drop the Mexican 4-8-4 project and rebuild their little CN 4-6-0. I loved that little engine. It's a shame to see her in such awful disrepair. |

Work is progressing on Steam Locomotive #3028 and other projects.Replacement firebox sheets (side/crown) have been formed and rolled and will be installed soon along with new flue sheets.Work on Steam Locomotive #1533 will commence after the restoration of #3028 is completed.Check out http://www.nhrrvolunteers.org for updated information and photos. We hold a work session every month and post photos shortly after. We're always looking for new members! Applications are available for download at the web site.Tours of the shop area, including Steam Locomotive #3028, will be available during the Railfan weekend on September 24th & 25th, 2005.This will be a rare chance to see the #3028 up-close during the restoration process.Go here for details of this event: http://www.newhoperailroad.com/events.cfm |
