This locomotive was in pristine cosmetic shape and eventually sidelined with some minor ailments of some sort or another. http://alcoworld.railfan.net/mexico.htmThe owner, Ferromex, had previously made lots of noise about preserving it. Look what happened not that long ago:http://www.mexlist.com/temp/501/1.jpghttp://www.mexlist.com/temp/501/2.jp ... .jpgNotice that the inside of the electrical cabinet was clean-not the grungy black typical of a 40 year Alco.
