This is BEDT #12, saved from destruction by author Ron Ziel, back around 1964. She is oil fired and should be an easy locomotive to get running once again. An amusing story concerning the engine is the way Ziel scrounged up the money for her. He went to a bank wondering how a person applies for a loan to buy a locomtive. The bank officer presented him with the papers they were for an auto loan. Ron started filling out the particulars, including make: H.K. Porter; model: 0-6-0 side tank; weight, etc., etc. When the officer reviewed the work, he stammered out, "Oh, you need a personal loan for that!" She was stored over in New Jersey for year, with a fifty gallow drum over her stack. Ron was unable to put together his tourist railroad with partner George Foster, and as a result the locomotive went onto other buyers, landing where she is today.
