Actually, that is a new depot with older styling (and a bit over done by midwestern standards) that was opened in the late 1980's. The original depot (which is quite a bit larger) is still there and is in use by the local chamber of commerce. West Chicago also has a C. 1890 CNW freight station that has been used by a local business for most of its life, a C. 1850 CB&Q station that is original but has been moved, and a staffed interlocking tower guarding the C&NW junction with the EJ&E. A station also stands along the EJ&E but will be demolished soon.Tom Cornillie

As someone who has written a book on rail stations (see Amazon or your hobby shop), I can say that THAT station screams "ostentatious replica" more loudly than an air raid siren.
