| Post subject: | Brake Shoes |
I have found some possible spare brake shoes for our ore car passenger equipment. However, the replacement shoes are two inches longer than the old shoes. Will this make a difference in the overall braking power of the shoe? (are they more likely to lock wheels during a given brake application). I am inclined to think that there should be no changes in braking power, but need to confirm this. Michael Seitz Missoula MT |

Both the old and new shoes are cast iron, so that is great. I just hope they fit........ Thanks for the reply. Michael Seitz Missoula MT |
