OHCR is taking a breather in 2005 for their excursion program, to get 2-8-0 33 accomplished, etc. They mentioned since they're taking this year off, they might get another steam engine up to FRA compliants. Could this mean either 0-4-0T #3 or 2-8-0 #13 will see life in 2006? |

I would think the 1551, since she was the most recent to run. When I saw her in the shop at morgan's Run, during Train Fest, she looked pretty good. Even with the layer of dust. |

#13 was traded to Hocking Valley for the 33, was it not? |

The 2-8-0 #13 that you saw at Trainfest was not sold. The #76 was recently sold to the group in Michigan for restoration. I would concur that the #1551 would be the logical choice after the #33 is completed. That locomotive was partially shopped before JJJ had a change of heart and went after the #33. I am hoping that NRHS Convention in Ohio will bring more life back to steam on the OC. Time will tell. |
