UP 6930 at IRM can be operated as a cab-control unit; i.e. 6930 cannot power itself, however it can be MU'd with another diesel and the lash-up can be controlled by the engineer in 6930. This was done this past weekend for IRM's annual Diesel Days event, where 6930 was MU'd with SP 1518, the first SD7, and operated in this fashion in the Diesel Parade and in coach train service for a short time.
