In case you missed it in Flimsies, some good news writing and quotes here concerning the Mt. Emily Shay at the City of Prineville RR in Oregon. Does CoP still haul freight? I'd heard they had shut down, due to loss of traffic from local mills. At one time, it's said Prineville, Oregon had no local property taxes, because they made enough off the railroad to eliminate them. |
