I recently discovered a resource for purchasing historical Nevada railway photographs that readers of the Interchange may also find useful. Mr. Ron Healy of Ely, NV has accumulated an extensive collection (numbering in the thousands) of White Pine County, Nevada archival photographs. The emphasis of the collection is on the railroads and mining operations in White Pine County -- that would include the Nevada Northern Railway and the ore railroads of Nevada Consolidated Copper, later Kennecott Copper, Nevada Mines Division. It covers the towns of Ely, Ruth, McGill, Cherry Creek, the Robinson mining district, and many additional areas in the region. As far as I know it's a unique resource and opportunity to obtain (purchase) some rare historic photos that may not be available anywhere else.
