Post subject:  iron on railroad crests

This is not neccessarily a preservation topic, but i can't seem to find what i want when i search for it. I have been looking for some iron-on embroidered railroad crests. A museum i recently visited had some, and i bought a couple to try out. I have emailed them many times in the past month to ask about a supplier, or to buy a few more (even sent them private messages on here) but for some reason they never respond (customer service seems to be lacking) I am looking for a supplier of these patches, and am wondering where other groups get thiers from. There has to be a supplier, but i can't seem to find one with anything decent. Any help would be appreciated (private email of course)

Ken,Try Lion Brothers in Owings Mills, Maryland (right on the old Western Maryland mainline!). Their website ishttp://www.lionbrothers.com/Their telephone numbers are: (410) 363-1000 or (800) 365-6543. By mail: Lion Brothers, Inc., 10246 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117.Lion Brothers produced the Western Maryland Railway Historical Society patch, a large 4" multi-color embroidered sew-on model, and did a beautiful job. They can probably do the iron-on style, too. -- Ray
