With the acquisition of the CN 5288 from Steamtown, there are a few things i'm concerned about. I know work on 610 is nearing completion at TVRM, but I am concerned about the status of 630 and 10. I know they were being evaluated for return to service and have been somewhat dismantled in the back of the East Chattanooga shop for some time now. With 5288 coming now, does that mean that work on one of these locomotives, which ever was deemed most likely for restoration will be put on hold or discontinued. Both of these engines are fine ladys from the south that would be nice to see running again, but I realize they are getting old and there are many considerations to look at in restoring steam locomotives to opeartion, that so, whatever decision is made i'll look forward to another operating steamer at TVRM in a few years.

Personally, I would like to see K&T 10 go back to the K&T, if TVRM isn't going to do anything with it. I don't know the name of the tourist RR that is operating on the trackage, but it would be great to see it run on home rails again.
