No one would ever have expected two EL diners to be coupled together again a few years ago, let alone restored for service back on their original route through the Poconos and Scranton.

This project has made so much sense I often wonder how it can be done in today's world ;-)Rather than saving 40 different cars from 25 different railroads, saving a given number of cars to create a single train (even with interchange cars, per reality, not some modeler's dream) recreation, to give people a true sense of what travel was really like --- oh to see a Maple Leaf or International (heck, I'd even take a Mohawk) together again, or a Pere Marquette or Resort Special.Congratulations --- kudos to everyone involved. Now I can show my daughter Phoebe a real, honest to goodness train from the railroad of her namesake.TJ Gaffney
