Tentatively scheduled for the first weekend in October is a steam weekend with MNG Monson #3 on the old Phillips and Rangely at Phillips, Maine. For those that could not make it to Old Home Days here is your chance to experience steam on the SR&RL Railroad with original passenger and freight equipment including caboose #556. Scheduled activities will include trackwork instruction (lots of fun), Steam engine training (more fun), a frieght train, and maybe a night passenger train. pizza and subs in the eight stall roundhouse and rr stories. Come and enjoy. Also check out the SR&RL website for a photo story of Old Home Days steam ops. Rick. |

That's fabulous, Rick!MNG deserves a lot of credit for so freely allowing their equipment off-line in support of two-foot preservation. And you and your other "Steam Team" cohorts deserve just as much for donating your time to crew these events. Thanks for everything you do!Best Regards,Glenn |
