On the evening of Saturday, September 24, TVRM will present a “Night Photo Session” at East Chattanooga featuring steam locomotive #610 and a number of historic diesels. Railfan & Railroad Magazine Editor Steve Barry will be providing directions and electronic lighting for the event. At least five different “set ups” will be organized at East Chattanooga Depot and around the turntable. Cost will be $20 per person, with a $5 discount for TVRM members. Participants will be required to use a camera with time exposure capability and a tripod. This allows an opportunity to do both the excursion trip (cost $53) and night photo session in the same day.What else is going on at TVRM? Full steam schedule for Missionary Ridge Local trains on Labor Day weekend (Sat-Sun-Mon) and the final Chickamauga Turn run for 2005. In addition to the Sept 24 Rails to Wings trip, there will also be a War Between The States trip on Sept 17 to Chickamauga for special Civil War activities. October 1 will be "Steam All The Way" with locomotive 610 running to & from Summerville unassisted. The following Saturday will see the beginning of six consecutive weekends of Autumn Leaf Special excursions to Summerville with a longer consist and a dining car luncheon on board.
