I actually stumbled by this the other day by accident. There is a local citizens group in St. Louis, Citizens for Modern Transit that is proposing a 2.2 mile heritage trolley line west of downtown St. Louis. The line would start at the University City Loop, head east on Delmar Boulevard, then turn south on DeBaliviere and eventually wind up circling the Missouri History Museum in Forrest park. The group has purchased two former Milan Peter Witt cars from Gomaco. The one in the photograph is on display at the history museum, while the other is on display near the University City loop. No idea as to when construction will start for sure. It appears it will be after 2006-2007 the proposed completion of the Metrolink expansion. [/url]

In their early days that group was involved in the moving to the area of the little single truck car from Piraeus Greece. (Via Connecticut) Isn't the other car from Greece restored and operating in the Carolinas? The car that was stored in the brewery in St. Louis until early this year is now in Lebanon, IL.Bob Kutella |

Actually, that car was to be restored by a group known as "Trolleys to Go." They were attempting to serve as a contractor to provide one of the two initial cars. For one reason or another, the group disbanded. The car was actually purchased by a private individual, and TTG never paid for it, so he is the one who is loaning it to Lebanon, IL. |
