Hello, I'm working with the Citiy of Pacifica in restoring one of the last known cars that ran on the Ocean Shore RR in CA. The car was built by Holman Co. of San Francisco in 1907. I'm looking for Janney radial couplers and 1907 era wheel sets that would fit this car. Please advise if anyone has any for donation or sale.ThanksMike Huggins |

mike,The only Ocean Shore trucks that I know about are the six that they sold to the Oakland,Antiock & Eastern. The are under three of the cars at Rio Vista and not likely to be for sale. however I am sure you can stop by to take measurements.they are Baldwin trucks so I expect there are some plans for them around somewhere. What do you think of the new Arcadia book on the Ocean Shore?Ted Miles |

Depending on the size and style, they may be the same or similar to the Baldwin trucks used on the Chicago Elevated. The Illinois Railway Museum has scrapped several Chicago "L" cars over the years for parts, and may have surplus traucks available for sale. |
