Locomotive rebuild/restoration companies

We have a small 54 ton 2-6-2 locomotive located in Virginia City, NV. We are engaged in a lengthy legal battle over maintainence of said locomotive. Can anyone provide me with names and method of contact with qualified people/companies that can do this work? The main problems are in the firebox where the crown sheet was allowed to run dry wile being fired. There are also running gear repairs needed. These repairs will need to comply with FRA standards, and allow the locomotive to obtain the proper certificate to operate. I am sorry to be somewhat elusive about all the facts until the case is heard in court early next year. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks M. K. Tackett Feather River Shortline Railroad

I went to your web site, and am curious as to why the FRA wants your firebox joints converted to welded from rivited? Is there grooving or star cracking around the heads?I get antsy when inspectors start "recommending" repair procedures.
