Sorry I can only contribute to the "rumor mill", but in talking to an associate of Mid-West Machine a couple of weeks ago I heard the same thing about #52. Sounds in rather rough shape from moving and age, but was told they were taking bids on the restoration. That #69 is a sweet looking loco, wish I could see and hear it work. Regards, John. |

One of the most spectacular visions for this operation would be to open up the full line clear to Dawson City and especially if that could include freight traffic.Pie in the sky perhaps.Scott |

The White Pass only had a rail line to Whitehorse. North of there the company operated river boats to get to places like Dawson City. The river steamers were typical western steamboats, deep hauls and rear paddle wheels. |
